Air Maxes were next,
That air bubble, that mesh;

At the core, the message of Wings is to not hold value in material things like sneakers. Along with Macklemore mentioning how excited he was to get his first pair of Air Jordans when he was 8-years-old, his sneaker fix was birth from that as he goes on to talk about how nice his Air Maxes were (and in the video showed the Air Max 90). Not a fan of his music myself, this song with its substantial bars seem to be more relevant than ever with sneaker popularity at an all-time high.
