Look deep into the adidas catalog and you’ll find so many classic designs that have stood the test of time, turning heads on release day decades ago and doing the same today.

Now, 71 years after the German footwear brand was founded, another addition to that stable of classics may be upon us: The X9000 4D and X9000L4.

The X9000 4D is the latest adidas model to utilize the company’s 3D-printed midsole to provide comfort and support underfoot whether you’re pounding the pavement or putting your feet up.

The black lattice midsole structure is sandwiched between a bright-green outsole and an upper constructed from adidas Primeknit material, with an iridescent heel support tying things together.

Its Boost-toting sibling, the X9000L4, continues the adidas Running division’s trend of sleek, swooping silhouettes with a futuristic shape that will look as good on the track as it will with a casual ‘fit. 

The energy-returning Boost midsole gives the appearance of being layered in waves, tinted with a shimmering pearlescent shade to contrast with the geometric shapes on the mesh upper.

You can get your hands on the X9000 4D on 9/4 in Black/Core Black/Signal Pink, Black/Core Black/Grey Six and Grey Three/Matte Silver/Signal Orange colorways, while the Black/Core Black/Grey Six edition of the X9000L4 launches the same day.
