Jay-Z was a legit baller in his youth with some saying he could have played college hoops, so his love and knowledge of Air Jordans and basketball have always been on full display in his raps. Many refer to Jay as the “Mike Jordan of recording” because they both garner the respect of their peers and they’ve enjoyed nearly flawless success with boatloads of accomplishments. Like most of us Jigga loves the Jordan 3s, especially Black Cements. They’re easily top-3 in terms of all-time Air Jordans and Jay-Z’s been seen wearing them consistently throughout his career. Earlier this year Puma hired Jay-Z as the Creative Director of their revitalized Puma Basketball division, but we wonder if his new role stopped him from buying the 2018 Black Cement 3 Retros? There’s defiantly a pattern when it comes to HOV’s favorite Air Jordans. When you look at his life and rhymes you can easily see he prefers Jordan 1s, 3s, 4s and 8s; the Jordan 3 in particular plays a crucial role in his rotation.
