Share

Now more than ever, women all over the world are being recognized for their presence in society. This year, @finishlinewomen is celebrating International Women’s Day all week long. We’re going to bring you a new story every day from 3/4 to 3/10 and each one will highlight what #girlpower is all about.

Who doesn’t love some fun times with their best friends? One of the many rewarding feelings of having a close gal pal or group of ladies who support you are the memories you make with them. So far this year, we have seen many uplifting moments from our Finish Line women. Whether they’re running together, at brunch or attending events, they’re experts at girl dates. Check out some of our favorites below.

Workout buddies

It’s one thing to wake up and go to the gym or hustle to a fitness class on your own, but when you have your bestie there for support, it’s more than checking something off your daily to-do list. @melliecay and @rarax3 are two of our Finish Line women who are all about a good workout. Whether they’re crushing miles or taking a Flywheel class, it’s a girl date that brings those endorphines.

Brunch is a must

There’s nothing better than a good brunch date with your girls to have some laughs. With or without festivities the night before, you don’t need anything but good food and good company to enjoy a delicious meal. We always stop by @fitandyy’s page for some brunch inspiration. She tackles fitness and nutrition on a different level and we love it!

Night on the town

Although It’s hard to come across girls who aren’t reppin’ #teamcozy head-to-toe these days, there’s always a chance of getting an itch to mix things up for a night out. We absolutely love this look by @evemeetswest. 100% still cozy, but she found more height and switched out the sneakers  with some adorable bootie heels. A cocktail and some dance moves never hurt any girls date. Amiright!?

An event to remember

You can find all kinds of events to attend with your friends, but it’s something special when it’s the event that brings you closer to a group of women. From races to sport brand awareness, it’s a girl date that opens doors and allows you to meet people who have  similar interests in life. We love keeping up with @dianakmir, because she’s always spreading the #girlpower vibes with her sneaker tribe.

Keep your eyes out for more #InternationalWomensDay features on the blog and @finishlinewomen all week! #WeAreMore
