Boo-Yah! The Legacy of Stuart Scott
Cancer Diagnosis Turns into Perseverance and Resilience
via @USAToday
In 2007, Stuart Scott began experiencing stomach pains and was rushed to the hospital where he underwent an emergency appendectomy and was diagnosed with appendix cancer. This did not break him, as he went through multiple surgeries and chemotherapy but still continued to work and look unfazed. He began to be a source of inspiration for others battling cancer and started up a workout routine with the slogan “Everyday I Fight.” This inspired others, not only ones battling with cancer, but everyone to not give up on anything because there was no way Stuart was.
