3. Shane Battier

Years Played: 1997-2001
NCAA Accomplishments: Averaged 13.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. One National Championship.

Similar to Jay Williams, Battier got a bad rep because of his extremely good play. Everyone disliked playing against him, but would love if he played for their favorite team. He was always ready and willing to do whatever it takes even if it meant sacrificing his body in order for his team to win. His blue-collar style of play annoyed opposing teams and fans.
