New year, new you: Workouts to kick-start your 2021, week 2

Welcome back! This is week 2 of our January workout series.

In case you missed last week’s workout, go check it out and give it a try. If you’re ready for round 2, let’s go! 

Before we get started, here’s a quick tip to pump you up. Exercising at home can be challenging when you’re working, living and staying in the same place for the majority of your day.

To help me escape into the workout zone I’m used to at the gym, I plug in my AirPods and blast a favorite playlist. Trust me, your favorite jams will help you forget you’ve only moved 20 feet from your office to the living room to get this workout done.

This week is all about the EMOM, which stands for “Every Minute On the Minute.”

EMOM’s challenge you to complete an exercise for a certain number of repetitions in less than 60 seconds. Download this free interval app to help you keep time every minute on the minute.  

4 rounds x 4 movements

Complete all the repetitions below in one minute per exercise. Whatever time you have leftover is to rest until the next minute hits. 

10 per side lunge-to-skip

15 down-dog push-ups

30 alternating superhumans 

One full minute of mountain climbers
