Under Armour
Give your game the Midas touch with the latest Curry 8 colorway
Steph Curry is sending a message.
Heading into his 12th NBA season, the three-time champion has declared that he wants to make a lasting impact in everything he does, on and off the court.
That’s the mantra behind Steph’s newest venture: “Change the game for good.”
After seven years as an Under Armour signature athlete, the Warriors point guard has emerged as the face of Curry Brand, a UA-backed entity that aims to support local communities by “bringing the joy of sports to every kid.”
“Under Armour and I have already been working on bringing play to Oakland, and through this work, I’ve been able to see the challenges kids are facing first-hand, so Curry Brand just builds on the strong foundation we’ve started,” Curry said in a media release this week.
The brand will focus on investing in building and refurbishing safe places to play; resources and product to support team sports through schools and community organizations; and developing coaches and leadership in underserved communities.
On 12/17 you’ll be able to cop the latest edition of Curry’s new signature model, the Curry 9.
The newest colorway, ‘Golden Flow,’ features a crisp white upper with striking gold overlays and gilded details.
The Curry 8 ain’t just about aesthetics though. The shoe is built atop an outsole designed to be lighter, gripper, bouncier and quicker, according to the brand.
The UA Flow technology is a foam cushion that’s totally rubberless, cutting weight while gripping the court the way you need it to. According to Curry, it “feels unreal.”
