Bird’s the word: A nostalgic look back at the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series
Twenty years ago, as an awkward and uncoordinated teenager, I was more of the writing type than the riding type.
That is, until I got my hands on a copy of a game that I absolutely couldn’t put down: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater.
After playing the first edition until the disc was a coaster, I picked up the sequel on release day in 2000 at the age of 14 while on vacation with my cousins. For context: the only other thing I’ve ever bought on release day since has been sneakers.
So to say that my wildest nostalgic dreams have come true with the release of the remastered Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, whose demo dropped today.
