This Air Jordan 4 Retro SE pays homage to an OG Air Max 95 colorway

It’s no secret that March is a big month for Nike, and this year the Swoosh is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its iconic Air Max 90 silhouette, which let us literally walk on air.

The equally recognizable Air Max 95 is also marking a milestone birthday, turning the big 2-5 in 2020. The 95’s OG “Neon” colorway has re-emerged a handful of times over the past decade, including on a Vapormax silhouette in 2018.

But now, for the first time, Jumpman loyalists will be able to get their feet in a pair of the Air Jordan 4 Retro SE featuring the neutral tones and bright pops of color on the multi-lace locks and in-soles that the Air Max 95 made so popular.

It’s not only the neon green and shades of grey that will be familiar to sneakerheads with a keen eye for detail, though: the Jumpman logo on the tongues is split down the middle, offering one half in black and white and the other in grey and neon, much like the Air Max branding on the tongues of the 95. Brushed leather on the upper is reminiscent of last summer’s beautiful Cool Grey Retro 4.

Combine these sharp design throwbacks with everything that made the Air Jordan 4 a classic — breathable mesh in the upper, a visible air unit and the fan-favorite Nike Air logo on the heels, just as it was on the OG model in 1989 — and you have the perfect mash-up of two timeless creations.

And if you’re looking to fit out the whole household, Finish Line’s got you covered. The Air Jordan 4 Retro SE “Neon” launches in full family sizing on March 21 in stores and online.
