Michael Jordan arrived on campus at the University of North Carolina in 1981. As they say, the rest is history. MJ would help the Tar Heels capture the NCAA Championship in 1982 (his freshmen year) and he’d go on to be named a consensus NCAA All-American in 1983 (sophomore) and 1984 (junior). His #23 now hangs in the rafters at Chapel Hill. Despite graduating from UNC 34 years ago, MJ still has a strong affinity for the school. That’s evident by his appearances at games, donations, and the school being under his Jordan Brand banner.
