Jordan Brand Celebrates The 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup With A Retro 12
Later this month, the FIBA Basketball World Cup will kick off in China and Jordan Brand is honoring the special tournament with a special Retro. For those who don’t know what FIBA is; it is an association of national organizations which governs international competition in basketball. The tournament is usually played 2 years before the Summer Olympics but that isn’t the case this year. With Jordan Brand athletes on Team USA’s roster, it was only right that JB celebrate the tournament with some special footwear for the athletes and fans.
JB will be dropping a special Air Jordan Retro 12 in honor of the tournament that is perfect for any rotation. This super clean Retro comes dressed in a White, University Red, and Metallic Gold makeup that is too good to pass up. With this years games being hosted in Beijing China, Jordan Brand pays homage to the city by featuring elements from the national flag that are subtly embossed in White on the shoes mudguard. On the heels of the shoes are five Chinese characters that mean “Love The Game” down the heel strap.
