The Air Jordan Retro 3 Tinker Dons A ‘Black & Silver’ Makeup
The legacy of Tinker Hatfield and his monumental impact on Nike and Jordan Brand continues on with this Air Jordan Retro 3. When it comes to Hatfield, many have said that he is the most influential designer in footwear. If you’re a die hard sneakerhead then you know that he has quite the resume of work attached to his name. Back in 2018, JB dropped a Retro 3 that was altered from the famous model that is so well known today and introduced it as the Air Jordan Retro 3 TH. This design was the original sketch of the Jordan 3 but was scrapped before the look we now know today came to life.
After dropping in ‘Stealth’ and ‘White Cement’ colorways, the shoe popped back up earlier this year in a ‘OG Air Max 1’ colorway that combined the classic color scheme with the timeless hoop sneaker. Now, the next pair is set to drop in a Black, White, Gold and Silver colorway that feels as premium as it looks. This sneaker features a Black suede and leather upper that is complemented by Black elephant print overlays on the toe box and back heel. Reflective 3M material is seen on the tongues, eyelets and Swoosh logos which make the shoe pop when the light hits it just right. To keep it simple and clean, “Nike Air” is branded on the heel tabs in a matte black print. All this sits atop a White midsole and is finished with Metallic Gold detailing on the lace loops to complete the design.
