Back in 2018, Jordan Brand dropped an Air Jordan Retro 11 in a premium all Black color scheme that would be a sneakerheads substitute for dress shoes at formal occasions. With these kicks dropping around the time of Graduation, the colorway was given the ‘Cap and Gown’ moniker. Jordan Brand went above and beyond for soon to be high-school graduates from select schools across the country and gave them early access to the shoes before anyone else. With the 2019 school year coming to a close very soon, Jordan Brand is dropping another ‘Cap and Gown’ sneaker to continue the trend they started last year.
This year, JB is giving the Air Jordan Retro 13 the ‘Cap and Gown’ makeup. Much like the we saw last year with the Air Jordan 11, this Air Jordan Retro 13 gets dressed in an all-Black color scheme that we are no stranger to. This smooth retro gets done up in premium materials with patent leather donning upper portion instead of premium leather were used to. while The rest of the shoe gets decked out entirely in Black suede. To finish it off, the classic holographic logo on the heel is replaced with “23” over the Jumpman logo.
