The Air Jordan Retro 14 ‘White & Varsity Red’ Returns Just In Time For Spring
The Air Jordan Retro 14 is looked at as one of the most important sneakers in MJ’s signature line. By now you know the story of the design being inspired by the Ferrari 550 M and Michaels love of fast cars, and the cherished date of June 14th, 1998. If you don’t know the significance of that date, it was when Jordan won his final Championship as a Bull vs the Utah Jazz with his last second shot in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals. Last year, Jordan Brand released the ‘Last Shot’ Air Jordan Retro 14 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Jordan’s historic shot.
Now, Jordan Brand is dropping the classic Air Jordan Retro 14 ‘Candy Cane’ just in time for spring and summer. While these shoes were never actually sported by MJ in game, they are cemented in the brands history as a classic with its presence in major moments over the years. From players like Charles Barkley wearing these during his time with the Rockets, to Richard Hamilton leading UConn to a national title over Duke in the 1999 NCAA Championship, and Dwyane Wade wearing the shoes on court with the Miami Heat the same day they released back in 2012.
Like we’ve seen with the release of these in the past, Jordan Brand keeps it truly OG with these like they did in the past. Now, this years release is coming in the classic White, Black, and Varsity Red make up that we’ve grown to love over the years. This pair features a clean White leather upper with Red accents. Varsity Red branding dominates the heel with a White shield logo seen on the side of the sneaker. A Black carbon fiber outsole plate completes the shoe’s classic and clean look
