The Air Jordan Retro 9 ‘Pearl Blue’ Arrives Just In Time For All-Star Weekend
The 2019 NBA All-Star Game is going to held in Charlotte, North Carolina, and an Air Jordan Retro 9 inspired by Michael Jordan’s Carolina beginnings will be releasing just in time for the celebratory weekend. Usually when it comes to nods to MJ’s alma mater, that familiar shade of Carolina Blue takes center stage, but this time around it is Midnight Navy that is responsible for the most of this offering’s real estate. It’s only right that Jordan Brand pays homage to MJ’s history in the state with the classic colorways that honor his time in a Tar-heels jersey.
The sneaker’s textured leather upper is shaded in the clean hue, while glossy leather in dark navy is used to cover the rest of the style. Hits of light blue are also seen on the branded areas across the tongue and heel area, followed by a white outsole to top it all off. This Air Jordan 9 Retro dons a colorway that mixes a Tar Heel friendly palette of White, University Blue, and Midnight Navy with patent leather accents that are reminiscent of the 2002 release of the Air Jordan 9 Low ‘Pearl Blue’. That memorable low-top release is fondly remembered because of its clean look but you always need a high top to compliment the low top.
Grab your pair of the Air Jordan Retro 9 ‘Pearl Blue’ on February 9th at Finishline.com. Make sure you check with your local store for more release details.
