For months, we’ve been seeing a new-look Air Jordan 1 in the classic ‘Chicago’ colorway floating around the internet and wondering what they could mean. It wasn’t until just last week that Jordan Brand broke the news that this release is going down with the debut of the animated “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse” movie and everyone’s favorite neighborhood vigilante. The shoes are also featured on the film’s cover artwork.
The shoe comes in a Chicago-like color scheme that sneakerheads have loved over the years. Getting done in a mix of Gym Red, Black, White, and Photo Blue on the sole, you could say the OG colorway that inspired these gets a modern upgrade. Featuring a textured reflective upper that is a homage to Miles Morales costume in the movie. An iridescent Nike Air tongue label provides the shoe with that true OG-vibe. The spotted upper features reflective materials that are complimented with a Black ankle collar and Swoosh that makes these super clean and up to date.
