This Nike Air Penny 1 Is Inspired By Lil’ Penny
Remember those hilarious Lil’ Penny Nike commercials from the ’90s that aired during Penny Hardaway‘s golden years on the Orlando Magic roster? You may remember the hilarious commercial with Tyra Banks but there were many others that people loved. Backed by the voice of Chris Rock, Lil’ Penny always stole the show and it looks like he’s going to do the same with the next Penny 1 release. The return of Penny Hardaway’s original signature sneaker, the Nike Air Max Penny 1, wouldn’t be complete without a tribute to his pint-sized companion from those iconic ’90s commercials. This sneaker comes dressed in a Deep Royal Blue, Gym Red and White color scheme, which would be a perfect shoe to wear during the 4th of July. This Nike Air Max Penny represents Lil’ Penny’s personal Pros uniforms. Finishing off the theme is his ‘1/2′ jersey number embroidered on the heels. Red and blue are representative of the colors that adorned Lil’ Penny’s Pros uniform that he wore during a dream sequence where he balled like life-sized Penny.
