@atothebed: “When the ’88s dropped they were super limited and not available in GS locally, so I tried and failed online. I feel really weird not owning a pair – IIIs are definitely a staple for anybody who collects sneakers. If I’m not able to grab them this time around, I may have to give up on IIIs forever.”
@jennizer: “My first pair of Jordan 3s and favorite colorway out of the original four. I had the 2011 pair and it held up so well in all types of weather. Jordan 3s definitely look better with age/wear.”
@ractvshift: “The White Cement 3 is probably the cleanest colorway of one of the most casually wearable Jordan models of all time. That being said, its rightfully become a staple in most sneakerhead’s rotations but also appreciated by those much less in “the know.” In fact, it was my girl’s first Jordan and she bought it off the shelf at a Footlocker cause it was dope, had no clue at all what it was.”
@johngotty: “I was young, maybe elementary school when these came out. I distinctly remember an older cat named Greg who balled on the junior high team came along with these. He was a guard with handles and a jumper and he always looked so fluid, and his cool was only enhanced more by his kicks. MJ maybe made them memorable for most, but Greg made me love these.”
@larryluk: “This is probably the most iconic pair of AJ3’s to me. I can’t think of this shoe without picturing MJ flying through the air with his legs cocked back as he launched himself to victory of the 1988 NBA Dunk Contest.”
@dongotti: “Of course, the infamous cement colorways are nothing more than legendary. The most rememberable colorways, black and white, of any 3. Jordan winning his first dunk contest in ‘88, defensive first team and defensive player of the year all in the Jordan 3. Both colorways are very famous in the sneaker world. So sought out and coveted by sneakerheads til this day. So versatile, both on and off the court. Not only my favorite Jordan but my favorite but my favorite sneaker ever. Definitely considered top 5 sneakers ever in my opinion.”
@nikestories: “There was a picture of Rob Moore (wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals) in the ’96 Sports Illustrated NFL Preview issue. He was wearing a cleated version of the White Cements, which I thought was dope because players weren’t really doing that back then.”
