By most accounts it was Kanye West signing with adidas in late 2013 and then the Ultra Boost in 2015 that turned people on to adidas. I’ve got a couple closets full of adidas from before they were the brand to be wearing. But, the first shoe that made me realize things were going to change was the Energy Boost 2 in the summer of 2013. (I skipped the original because I didn’t like the mesh on the heel and under the tongue ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) It’s nearly as comfortable as the Ultra Boost. This year my goal is to show more of my obscure shoes, more of the less hyped and more of the sneakers with interesting stories. Now I just need hashtag to track these posts. Any suggestions? Edit. Some suggestions from all of you! #talesfromthekicks #kicksbynick #nickskicks #solesapart #hiddengems #sickkicksfortheladies #KnowYourSoles #SneakerHistory #sleepers #nohype #forgottenhype #unfamiliarfootwear #SomeOfNicksKicks #sleeperkicks #moreobscurelesshype #SneakySneaks #SneakerSickicks #heatbeforehype #NicksSleeperKicks #sleepersoles #SoleStories #UnderDogKicks #NickPicks #forgottenkicks #Kickstories #TheLostSoles #solecalibur #MySneakerStories
