He might be known as the guy who blew his shot with a motorcycle accident, but when Jay Williams was at Duke, he was named ACC Rookie of the Year and National Freshman of the Year by The Sporting News.

The 13th Duke player to have his number retired. He is known as one of the best shooters in college basketball history. Leaving a legacy that includes the all time ACC tournament scorer and the NCAA record for most 3-pointers made in a career (457). He finished with 2,557 total points.

Christian Laettner

When they make a 30 for 30 about hating you, you must have done something right. Laettner would go on to play a total of 23 out of a possible 24 total tournament games, winning 21 of them. Hate Christian Laettner all you want, but he is still one of the best Blue Devils of all time.

Grant Hill

Hill won the Henry Iba Corinthian Award, recognizing him as the nation’s top defensive player in 1993. In 1994 he was awarded  the ACC Player of the year and would later go on to became the first player in ACC history to collect more than 1,900 points, 700 rebounds, 400 assists, 200 steals and 100 blocked shots.
