5. Mychal and Klay Thomspon
Did you know Mychal Thompson played for the Lakers and as drafted ahead of Larry Bird? He was the first overall pick in the 1978 NBA Draft. Unlike his son, the senior Thompson, at 6’10”, played forward and center, first with the Portland Trailblazers and later with the San Antonio Spurs and L.A. Lakers. He won two NBA championships with the Lakers while backing up Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Klay became a household name when he and Steph Curry were donned the “splash brothers”. He drops dimes on a nightly basis and plays a completely different game from his father.
