Coolio – “Gangsta’s Paradise”
Coolio’s monster hit was sure to be used by someone, and most likely by Memphis State’s big man Lorenzen Wright. Unfortunately, the ominous tone of the song proved to be accurate as Wright, whose father was shot & paralyzed while Wright was growing up, was unable to escape trouble and was the victim of a yet-unsolved, likely drug-related murder in 2010 following his NBA career.
