Junior M.A.F.I.A. – “Get Money”
“Starbury” was New York City personified, growing up in the streets of Brooklyn and becoming a high school basketball legend before taking a one-year pit stop at Georgia Tech on his way to the league. Notorious B.I.G.’s Junior M.A.F.I.A. crew was also straight-up New York and their hit “Get Money” summed up Marbury’s mantra once he hit the big time. The Timberwolves immediately made a deal with the Bucks on draft night to team up Marbury and K.G. for years to come, but Marbury’s focus on the good life and an inability to get along with teammates & coaches led to several failed stops and shortened his NBA career. He has since reinvented himself as a big-time winner and major celebrity in China.
