Under Armour Curry 1 “MVP”
UA Curry 1 “MVP”
Stephen Curry’s rating as a high school basketball player was non-existent when a few colleges were looking at the small undersized point guard out of North Carolina. Fast forward to right now and I’m sure those coaches are kicking themselves for not pursuing the sharp shooter. Chef Curry has arguably become the best shooter of all time and carried his team all year-long to the promise land.
Just a little less than a month ago the NBA named Curry the MVP of the league and now he’s working to add an NBA Title to his repertoire. With Stephen being the driving force behind UA basketball its only right that they give him a special edition MVP shoe. This year couldn’t have played out any better for Under Armour and Curry. His first signature shoe made its debut this year, Stephen set the regular season record for three-pointers made and of course won the MVP title.
Now that Chef Curry holds that golden hardware known as the MVP trophy, Under Armour is giving us a little gold of our own to honor the Warriors star. The UA Curry 1 “MVP” has a darkish fade with gold trim that symbolizes the MVP trophy. Fading from white on the toe to black on the heel of the shoe this version is different from all the previously released ones with good reason. A little fun fact if you didn’t know, this is the first non-Nike/adidas player to win the MVP award since Allen Iverson won it in 2001 as a Reebok athlete.
