Not Just for the Gym: Nike Free 5.0, Nike Air Huarache & adidas Superstar Up
[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]In this edition of Not Just for the Gym, I wake up bright and early to sport my new bright gym outfit, and then take them to the street for a casual look. I am also bringing sneaker wedges back into my rotation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Nike’s latest campaign in Toronto is #DoneBeforeDawn, six weeks of 6:30am NTC (Nike Training Club) classes at various locations in the city. While I’m not exactly a morning bird, nothing gets me more excited for the gym than having new gear to wear. I’m currently obsessed with the orange and peach tones from the latest Nike collection – especially these sunset tights. The Nike Free 5.0s were perfect for running to the venue (short and sweet – just under two miles) and transitioned well into the actual training class.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]
TENNIS INSPIRED

[ Shoe: Nike Air Huarache ]
Warm weather is here, and it’s finally time to take my skirts and pale legs out of hibernation. I could not wait to wear this all-white tennis inspired outfit with my all-white Huaraches, which I was lucky enough to grab before it sold out. This is a pretty casual outfit, but if the mood strikes for a quick tennis session, I would be ready – or at least look ready.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

I know I fall into the habit of reaching for an all-white shoe and sometimes forget how a punch of color can also add to an outfit. Nike Frees transition well from workouts to casual wear, so don’t be afraid to use them with something other than tights. I wore them with blue camo jeans, my favorite white tee, and an oversized denim jacket.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

[ Shoe: adidas Superstar Up ]
Most people are surprised when I tell them these are sneaker wedges. The hidden wedge gives the Superstar Up a cool look, and the bonus is they feel comfortable to walk around in all day. Worn with cargo pants and a crop, this look is spring/summer ready.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Photos by Philip Aglipay and Andrew Parks.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
