Notre Dame’s Reclaim to Fame
Despite preseason polls and rankings and all the statistics that sports analysts pore over before the NCAA football season even starts, the true excitement about the whole process is that all of that is negated as soon as the season is underway. Want a prime example? The current #1 team in the nation, the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, weren’t even ranked to start the season. Their rise to the top has been quite an impressive one, and we take a quick look at why it’s so special.
Put frankly, they haven’t lost a game. Going lossless is usually a surefire way to the top, and with Notre Dame’s schedule being relatively heavy on the “strength of schedule” scale, it has made for a quick ascension.
