Jordan Spizike History
Released in 2006, the Jordan Spizike is a fusion of Nike Air Jordan’s III-VI, XI, and XX in commemoration of the relationship between Michael Jordan and Spike Lee. The dynamic duo starred in the famous Nike commercials to market the popular sneakers. Spike’s character Mars Blackmon derived from a role in one of his movies “She’s Gotta Have It”.
The shoe was only targeted for a one time, limited release but due to initial popularity more shoes were released to the public. Today, the Spizike stands as one of Jordan Brand’s most successful and popular hybrids.
The Spizike is comprised of the Air Jordan 3 sole and elephant print, the Air Jordan 4 lace loops and an Air Jordan 5 profile and side netting, Teh shoe also highlights the Air Jordan 6 tongue, Air Jordan 9 heel tab, and graphic Air Jordan 20 sockliner to complete the shoe fusion.
