The Air Jordan 11 holds a special place in the sneaker realm for what Jordan did wearing the shoe and the one of a kind look that they had when he debuted them on May 7th, 1995 in a game against the Orlando Magic. As the years have come and gone, the love and demand for the Retro 11 has become bigger than anything Tinker Hatfield or Michael Jordan could have imagined. Now, Jordan Brand is honoring those who accomplish graduating high-school with this premium take on the ’96 classic hoops model that is perfect for formal events that fall near the end of the school year in mind. JB is also giving graduates first dibs through a special SNKRs release that has never been done before.
What started as a sample in the ‘Blackout’ Collection back in 2011 has finally come full circle to be released after sneakerheads have been begging for years. Since 2011, this pair has accumulated numerous nicknames like ‘Blackout’, ‘Prom Night’ and others but Jordan Brand has dubbed these ‘Cap and Gown’ 11s. The all-black pair sports suede panels in place of the usual ballistic mesh, tonal branding hits, a metal Jumpman on the lateral heel in place of the usual stitched interpretation, a smokey outsole, and the model’s signature high-cut patent leather. To add to this pair’s theme, the black laces are made to resemble the cords worn by students on graduation day. Thanks to its shiny patent leather detailing resembling a dress shoe, the 11 has been re-purposed over the years by some as an “acceptable” compliment to formal wear.
With college graduation season already underway, don’t be surprised to see certain students rocking these with their traditional attire when they receive their diplomas this year. This pair will be releasing in MEN’S SIZES ONLY.

Jordan Brand’s helping you get the perfect the perfect Easter ‘fit together that’ll have your family giving you props. JB is set to drop an Air Jordan Retro 11 Low just before the holiday. A holiday they’ve often used to canvas sneakers in lush pastels and so on, the 11 Low undergoes a slight makeover with premium construction as a base layer. This Air Jordan 11 Low ‘Emerald’ is a brand new colorway of the silhouette and is perfect to celebrate the upcoming Easter holiday and spring season. Colored in a simple two-tone theme, White is seen on the tongue, laces and upper portion in leather while an Emerald Green hue takes over the signature patent leather overlay circulating the mudguard, toe and heel. Minor Black accents throughout, a White midsole and icy iridescent/translucent outsole completes the design altogether.
Make sure you pick up the Air Jordan Retro 11 Low ‘Emerald’ on March 31st at Finishline.com.
Michael Jordan shocked the world when he broke the news that he would be retiring from basketball in 1993. Basketball lovers and fans of MJ couldn’t fathom why the greatest player would want to leave the game that he made look so easy. As most sneakerheads now, Michael Jordan was never supposed to play in the Air Jordan X. The sneakers outsole design listed his career achievements as a tribute to the recently retired (at the time) superstar. That all changed on March 18, 1995 when a fax came through reading a straight-to-the-point declaration: “I’m Back.”
Now, JB is honoring Mike’s story-like return to the NBA with a special Retro 10 that’s dressed in a simplistic color scheme. The Air Jordan 10 ‘I’m Back’ features a White leather upper paired with Black detailing on the toe and tongue area. Highlighting the shoe are the back pull tabs which one reads, “I’m Back” and the other “3.18.95” referencing the date he said those two iconic words. If you’re a die-hard Jordan fan then you know that these are a dope way to honor a big moment in MJ’s history.
You can grab the Air Jordan Retro 10 ‘I’m Back’ on March 18th at Finishline.com.
If you’re a “Bredhead” then this next Jordan release is a must have for you. The historic colorway gets decked out on a sneaker that Mike never got to wear during his time with the Chicago Bulls. Most people know that the Jordan 9 was created during MJ’s brief baseball career, but if you didn’t then we can give you a brief run down of the Jordan 9 history. When Jordan went to play baseball the future of Jordan sneakers were in limbo, Tinker designed a new silhouette complete with one of the most interesting outsoles we’d ever seen in the Jordan signature series.
There’s something about all-black kicks that people love. Maybe it’s the fact that they don’t get dirty so easily, or that they can match up with almost any outfit. Whatever your reasoning is the Air Jordan Retro 9 ‘Black & University Red’ is one of the cleanest kicks to drop this month. The all-black construction with subtle red stitching and lace loops pair together so well that it’s hard to find a reason to not like these.
You can grab your pair of the Air Jordan Retro 9 ‘Black & University Red’ on March 10th at Finishline.com.
While MJ was infamous for wearing Red and Black during his years with the Chicago Bulls, Royal Blue is also a familiar color that Jordan Brand likes to use on his Airness’ signature sneaker line. It’s been used on the Air Jordan Retro 1, 6, 10, 17, and 18 in their true form. Now, the clean, complimentary color is hitting the Air Jordan Retro 13. Some people may be thinking that these have already released, because they are very similar to a PE version that Quentin Richardson wore during his time with the New York Knicks and Orlando Magic. The Air Jordan 13 Retro is set to have a large and heavy presence in 2018 as Jordan Brand will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of one of the more artful designs of the Air Jordan legacy.
This Retro comes dressed in a simple White and Hyper Royal color scheme that is perfect for the spring and summer months. With a White leather upper and Royal Blue suede overlays sitting atop a Black and White rubber sole you’ll be able to rock these with any outfit.
Make sure you add the Air Jordan Retro 13 ‘Hyper Royal’ to your rotation on March 3rd and cop your pair from Finishline.com.

The word iconic gets thrown around a lot, especially in the sneaker world, but there are some sneakers that can hold that title undoubtedly. Styles like the Air Max 1, Air Jordan 1, Air Force 1, Air Jordan 11, Chuck Taylor All Star, and of course the Air Jordan 3. Back in ’88, the Air Jordan 3 was cooked up by “The Architect”, Tinker Hatfield and it was only the beginning of his and Michael Jordans infamous partnership. As most sneaker lovers would tell you, there are certain design aspects that make shoes stand out, others would say that it’s the big moments in culture or on the court and the Air Jordan 3 has all of those areas covered. From seeing that elephant print when a fresh pair was brought out of the box to MJ taking off from the free throw line and delivering the most iconic, gravity-defying moment in sports history, the Jordan 3 sits on a pedestal for a lot of people.
As years have passed and MJ has moved on from dominating the hardwood, his legacy lives on through his sneakers. Nostalgia is one of the biggest ways to take a person back to that very special moment when they first saw a sneaker or make them replay Mike taking off from the free throw line in their head and remembering it like it had just happened. Now, on the 30th anniversary of MJ’s legendary dunk contest performance, Jordan Brand is dropping the ‘Black Cement’ Retro 3 in true OG fashion. If you’re a diehard Jordan fan, then you already know that these shoes released originally in 1988, 1994, 2001, 2008 and lastly back in 2011. This may seem like overkill but this sneaker is one that can never be released enough.
Aside from being a court icon, the Air Jordan 3 became a pop culture legend over the years as it became the focus in numerous hip-hop lyrics and big moments. Jay-Z kicked off his Blue Print Tour in 2o09 with a fresh pair of ‘Black Cement’ 3’s. Jordans very own, Drake has name dropped the brand numerous times in his songs but one of his best is “I’m back in my bag. My eyes bloodshot but my jet don’t lag. A pair of Jordan 3’s tryna’ chase this cash. Gucci airbag just in case we crash.”
It seems like sneakerheads have been waiting for this drop for years, and now as we’re only a week away from it the biggest decision for you to make is how many you plan on coppin’. The release of the Air Jordan Retro 3 ‘Black Cement’ will come dressed in its original Black, Cement Grey, White and Fire Red color scheme that is so well known. They’ll come complete with classic ‘Nike Air’ branding at the heel and outsole that so many have been wanting over the years. To compliment the colorway you’ll see a fire red tongue lining which is a signature seen on the colorway to complete the legendary look for the ‘Black Cement’ 3s. The icing on the cake is that JB will be dropping these on MJ’s 55th birthday.
You can grab your pair of the Air Jordan Retro 3 ‘Black Cement’ on February 17th at Finishline.com and at your local store.
