Home / PUMA Thunder

The normally vibrant and flashy PUMA Thunder series is getting a clean monochrome make over. Inspired by 90’s running designs and Alexander McQueen collaborations, the Thunder Spectra fuses sport and fashion, given additional structure and support by its molded TPU system. The PUMA form-stripe runs parallel along the lateral sides of the shoe whilst the medial sides portray more a fashion-like aesthetic. This new Desert duo offers a combination of nubuck, leather, and suede with muted snakeskin detailing arriving on the formstripe, heel, and lower throat for a muted, yet still luxurious touch. The white pair’s chunky sneaker midsole features a combination of white, tan, and sail, while the black pair opts for a completely blacked-out look with its solid-colored take. Both iterations are completed with de-bossed branding on the tongue and heel, and a set of tonal laces.

Adding a third style to their “Thunder” collection, PUMA is dropping the first two colorways of the Thunder Desert. This sneaker follows the same chunky, dad shoe style of the Thunder Spectra and the Thunder Electric, but with a more subdued appearance.

Unlike the first two drops of the collection, the Thunder Desert lacks the bold colors and metallic touches, but it makes up for it with fresh neutral colors, suede and textured leather overlays, and chunky soles. It’s a winning combination that makes this our favorite PUMA dad shoe to date for men and women alike.

Sticking to the trendy look of chunky silhouettes, PUMA dropped its Thunder Spectra sneaker to the world a few weeks ago, and if you missed out you now have another opportunity to cop. Adorned in premium mesh and nubuck, this silhouette dons a touch of luxe that is put over the top by the stark, contrasting colors you find present on this particular iteration. With this next drop, PUMA is bringing two new fresh colorways that you won’t want to miss. These next pairs that feature colorful new colorways are coming in a Black, Grey, and Orange and a Black, Grey, Blue, and Red.

Grab your pairs of the PUMA Thunder Electric on June 21st at Finishline.com.
