Home / LeBron 15

Nike and LeBron James are continuing the Kings ever-popular signature line with the new Nike LeBron 15. James has been very vocal about how this shoe is his favorite one to date from his line. This high-performance basketball sneaker features an evolved form of Flyknit, cushioning units that combine Max Air and Zoom Air, and a full bootie construction that offers a true one-to-one fit. LeBron signature shoes have always been creative with placement of the Swoosh, and the LeBron 15 is no different as it features the brand logo on the inner heel of the shoe and the tail end of the logo wrapping around to the lateral heel.

Nike recently unveiled their alternate uniforms for the NBA and dubbed them the ‘City Edition’. The Nike NBA City Edition uniforms represent insights and emotion from the court to the upper deck to the cities’ streets, in pursuit of a unique way to capture each team and its city in a way that respects the past and present of the clubs while also positioning them for the future. These LeBron 15’s go perfect with the Cavaliers City Edition uniforms that are silver and feature ‘The Land’ across the chest. These LeBron 15’s come dressed in a mix of wolf grey, gold, and cool grey color scheme. The upper is fully covered in grey and gold detailing is seen on the Nike SWOOSH around the heel.

Through the last couple of years, sneaker brands have celebrated and honored historic moments through colorways and special designs. While athletes have become more involved in what’s going on in the world, they have began to use their platform to make it known that they’re taking a stand on how they feel about certain causes. LeBron James started the NBA season by stepping out on the court in his signature shoe with “EQUALITY” stitched into the heels. Most recently, Nike Basketball and Jordan Brand are celebrating Black History Month with the message of EQUALITY through special colorways on the LeBron 15, KD X, Kyrie 3 and Air Jordan Retro 1 and Air Force 1 Low CMFT.

The Nike LeBron 15 features a black, red and green Flyknit upper which is meant to honor the Pan-African flag. Metallic Gold “BHM” logos appear on the tongues and insole to make sure the message is known. One of the shock absorbers on the sole of the sneaker is inscribed with the date 07-13-2016 in gold which represents the day James, along with Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, and current Cavalier teammate Dwyane Wade stood up at the ESPY’s to give a speech about equality and ending violence.

Kyrie Irving’s signature sneaker, the Nike Kyrie 4 is one of the star footwear styles in the lineup. His Black History Month sneaker features a white-based hue across its knitted and leather upper that is detailed with the word “Equality” embossed across the whole shoe. A white midsole, black lining and a nod to the Pan-African flag with red, black and green hues are seen on the outsoles to complete the theme altogether.

Kevin Durant just hit the career milestone of scoring 20,000 points and now his signature sneaker is getting the Black History Month treatment. The KD X features a black-based upper with with red and green knit detailing. Its midsole dons the colors of the Pan-African flag colors and is complimented by metallic gold branding. 05-06-2014 is embossed in gold on the medial side of the shoe right above the midsole. This date represents the day that Kevin Durant won his NBA MVP and the mayor of Oklahoma City, Mary Fallin, declared it ‘Kevin Durant Day’ as a gesture of gratitude to KD’s contributions to the community.

The Nike Air Force 1 ‘Equality’ sports an all-black leather upper with the word “EQUALITY” in white printed on the heels. These have a premium feel thanks to the tumbled leather tongue label and historical dates in Metallic Gold on the inner tongues. Nike’s signature CMFT insoles and a translucent outsole completes the design.

Nike is back at it again with their releases the day after Christmas. Years back, Nike would launch their Christmas collection of signature player shoes that would be worn on Christmas day. While the collections may not be the same as they used to, Nike is dropping a special LeBron 15 the day after Christmas and there’s a good chance we could see these on King James’ feet when the Cavaliers play the Warriors on Christmas. This LeBron 15 comes dressed in a triple black color scheme throughout its upper that’s complimented by metallic gold accents on the tongue, heel, and insole. A solid black midsole and icy translucent outsole completes the luxurious design.
