With 2019 off and rolling, we’ve seen Jordan Brand bring some classics back out and some new colorways that we haven’t seen before. Like they do every year for the NBA All-Star game, Jordan is coming for everyones pockets with all their drops that can’t be turned down. One of the many kicks they will be debuting is this new look Air Jordan Retro 1 High OG that is made new with weathered suede overlaying traditional tumbled leather with “SP 19 Air Jordan 1 Retro High” seen on the side of the shoe. Dressed in a colorway that is too clean; Tubro Green, White, Light Smoke Grey and Sail takeover the sneaker. This Air Jordan 1 comes in a pre-worn look that we haven’t seen on a Retro 1 before. Its Green and White upper with Yellow Nike Air tongue labels atop a Sail midsole and Grey rubber outsole completes the design. The UNC-esque color scheme is perfect for the release as they build off the hype of the All-Star game being in Charlotte.
The Air Max 95 wasn’t always praised in the sneaker world like it is now. Many people weren’t very supportive of Sergio Lozano during his creative process when he was designing the Air Max 95. The visual design of the 95 was based on the human anatomy where the spine of the shoe resembled the human spine and the placement of the materials intended to represent skin, ribs, and tendons. This design was unlike anything to ever be done, but if you ask someone today to name a historical Air Max; Its almost guaranteed they will say the Air Max 95. The Air Max 95 has become a piece of history in the sneaker world but it has also been featured in the hip-hop culture. We’ve heard it featured in songs by The Game, Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka Flame and even Eminem designed a limited edition pair, which was sold to benefit a charity. We’ve seen that same trend happen with certain Jordan’s and Air Force Ones, but not many running shoes get that kind of hip-hop recognition. This pair comes in a Black, Aluminum, and Anthracite color scheme that is super celan. This Nike Air Max 95 features multiple shades of Grey that fade from dark to light and bring that true nostalgic feel to the sneaker.
Heading into the All-Star break, Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are hitting their stride. For the month of January Curry’s averaging 30.9 points per game. All while shooting .492% from the field and .438% from behind the arc. He’s been lighting the courts up in the latest addition to his signature line, the Curry 6.
The latest colorway in the line is giving us some major deep sea vibes. The compression-like knit upper comes dressed in Academy blue. The upper is highlighted by Mango and Team Orange accents. As always, it all sits atop a full-length UA HOVR midsole which provides an explosive energy return and a light, zero-gravity feel.
The heart and soul of Portland. Damian Lillard is in the midst of another career year. He’s got his Trail Blazers jockeying for a playoff spot in the Western Conference and he recently celebrated the birth of his first child. Dame’s family isn’t the only thing to expand as his signature collection is getting an addition as well. His fifth model, the adidas Dame 5, was designed specifically for Lillard’s signature game.
Made to play fresh out of the box, you won’t have to spend time breaking in the Dame 5. Opting for a ¾ collar, the upper of the shoe is made from textiles and features an internal, padded pod system for added comfort. A TPU midfoot overlay locks your foot down, providing the support you need. Perfect for Lillard’s patented step-back, the Dame 5 utilizes a flexible Bounce midsole. You’ll be able to change direction on a dime thanks to the herringbone outsole pattern which provides extraordinary grip.
In 2018, the Nike Epic React Flyknit changed the game. Defying the odds by being both plush and responsive. The model introduced us to new technology and took lightweight performance to the next level. Now, it’s second evolution is here. The Nike Epic React Flyknit 2 looks to that smooth ride you know and love to the next level.
Returning are the Flyknit upper and contoured collar which offer stretch, support and conform to the shape of your foot. Stability isn’t an issue thanks to the molded heel which keeps your foot secure. Nike React technology gives the shoe its namesake and provides the ultimate smooth ride (soft & responsive). Clear rubber on the forefoot and heel dramatically reduces the weight of the shoe and places traction just where you need it.
The debut colorways, ‘8-bit’ and ‘Pixel’ are an homage to the vibrant tones of the ‘90s tech world. Both feature a white-to-lime gradient midsole, a hyper pink-to-white outsole and a sapphire heel clip.
2018 has been a big year for Jordan Brand. Dropping classic pairs from the archives, collaborating with an international soccer club, continuing the Jordan signature line to 33, breaking the record for the largest single sneaker drop in industry history and much more. Now, as the year comes to an end, the Jumpman is looking to keep that energy rolling in to 2019. While so many classic colorways got released this year, we also saw a flurry of new ones inspired by Jordans history and others that commemorate JB athletes and friends of the brand.
This pairs upper is done up in a Navy suede and leather, and has complimenting colors accents of Royal Blue on the midsole and heel tab. A Grey midsole and icy outsole complete the look of the sneaker.
Vanessa Morgan, Migos and Zach LaVine are back for #ShoesSoFresh and we took things to the Whip Wash, where the cars are clean, but the kicks are cleaner. This time around, the crew is drippin’ in the latest adidas UltraBOOST and giving us all the #boosted vibes.
Right from the jump you’ll see accents of sneakers and Finish Line visuals in and outside of Vanessa’s car. From the outlet billboard, sneaker sponges, rearview mirror decor and the “So Fresh” detail on the hood, you’re going to want to watch this video frame by frame.
As Vanessa rolls up to the Whip Wash that’s when things really get Finish Line Fresh. Zach LaVine directs the car forward and Migos hits the paint with a wax on, wax off treatment to transform Vanessa’s car into something SO FRESH.
With the help from super clean pairs of adidas UltraBOOST and some Whip Wash magic, Migos and Zach LaVine takes Vanessa’s car from 0 to 100 real quick.
