Back in 2006, the Air Jordan line turned 21. What’d you do when you hit the big 2-1? Probably threw a party, right?

To that end, it was only fair that Jordan Brand celebrated the life milestone accordingly.

For the first time in the brand’s history, Jumpman unveiled a two-pair release called the ‘Defining Moments Pack,’ named as a nod to the on-court moments that defined Michael Jordan’s career.

Featuring the shoes that MJ wore during the first NBA Finals of each of his championship threepeats in 1991 and 1996, the pack included an Air Jordan 6 and an Air Jordan 11 that sported gold trim and became instant collector’s items. The AJ 6 saw an individual re-release last year.

The immediate success of the ‘DMP’ release encouraged Jordan Brand to continue to honor the Jumpman legacy with multiple-shoe packs.

We saw the brand release an Air Jordan 1 DMP pack including pairs of the iconic model in Bulls and Celtics colorways to commemorate the time in the 1986 Playoffs when Jordan dropped 63 against the C’s at the old Boston Garden.

Jumpman celebrated again in 2010 with another DMP double release, featuring the Air Jordan 6 in Black/Infrared and White/Infrared dressing, both OG colorways. The former dropped again on its own in 2019 and was snapped up quickly.

And 2017 brought another DMP collection, this time with a white-and-gold AJ 13 and a black-and-gold AJ 14 honoring Michael’s final season in Chicago.

But one of the most highly sought-after DMP releases, like many Jordan retro pairs, arrived in a red-and-black colorway that paid homage to MJ’s tenure in the Windy City.

Nicknamed the ‘Raging Bull Pack,’ this DMP release included two pairs of Air Jordan 5s: One heavy on the black suede with red detailing, the other red all over with hints of black and white.

Now, for the first time since 2009, the all-red model is returning for those who missed out on the original release.

The Air Jordan 5 Retro ‘Toro Bravo,’ arriving in full family sizing later this month, bathes that classic Jumpman model in rich University Red suede, contrasting the black midsole and icy blue translucent outsole.

Reflective 3M material on the tongue and black-stitched Jumpman logos at the heels and Jordan’s number 23 on the medial panels complete the look.
