The Air Jordan 12 is truly something special. Inspired (in part) by Japan’s Rising Sun flag and high fashion women’s boots, the AJ12 was ahead of its time. Originally released in 1996, the sneaker has given us tons of iconic colorways, ‘Playoffs,’ ‘Flu Game,’ and ‘Taxi’ to name a few. The latter of which serves as the inspo for the latest AJ12 release. Referred to as the ‘Black/White,’ this colorway is a play on the classic white and black ‘Taxi’ colorway from November of ‘96.
This updated take sports a black nubuck upper instead of the tumbled leather that’s typically a staple of the AJ12. Balancing the striking black upper is the clean white sole Staying true to its original form, metallic eyestays, Taxi accents and red detailing on the tongue, heel and sole complete this colorway.
