Shaq, Laettner, Zo

1992 – Literally one of the youngest teams in the NBA back in the ‘90s were the Orlando Magic. Established in 1989, the Magic were an exciting team to watch because of players like Nick Anderson, Scott Skiles, Reggie Theus, and Dennis Scott. They became a lot more fun in ’92, when they won the lottery and had their choice of Shaquille O’Neal, Christian Laettner, or Alonzo Mourning. All three were promising stars, but the Magic decided to smartly go with Shaq. He was a hit in Orlando, but unfortunately never won a championship with the team. He’d leave in dramatic fashion after the ’96 season and head to LA to join the Lakers. Shaq ended up winning four titles total, along with many many other accolades.
