Nike Basketball Honors The 2018 NBA All-Star Game With Signature Shoes That Represent The City
When it comes to NBA All-Star Weekend, Nike never holds back on their story telling and sneaker releases that are usually some of the biggest of the year. 2018 is going to be no different from Nike Hoops as they look to drop special signature sneakers that will be worn in the All-Star game that is taking place in the ever popular, Los Angeles. As their big four of Kyrie Irving, Paul George, Kevin Durant and LeBron James look to dominate the game with their style of play and their signature sneaker style, Nike is getting extra creative for this moment. Each sneaker represents a part of the city through a special colorway or standout feature to really catch peoples eyes.
Kyrie Irving and Nike Basketball will be celebrating this year’s NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles with a special edition Nike Kyrie 4 All-Star as Kyrie makes his fifth appearance in the game. This Nike Kyrie 4 sports a black and white tie-dye pattern throughout the upper. What makes this sneaker really pop is the purple details that are used on the embroidered Nike Swoosh, while pink and blue appears on the tongue Kyrie logo and outsole. Like the KD X, this pair represents another specific location in Los Angeles, as the insoles have graphics of Venice Beach. They also point out that Kyrie is a “5x All-Star” on the insoles of the sneakers.
