Jordan Brand has created many classic colorways over the years that have become synonymous with the Jumpman name. ‘Bred’, ‘Taxi’, ‘Royal’, ‘Shadow’, and ‘Cement’ have all become infamous in the sneaker world. While MJ was breaking records and hitting that fadeaway-jumper with ease, he had everyone wanting to get their hands on his sneakers in the classic Chicago colors. You may remember that two years ago, Jordan released a collection of Retros that featured similar color schemes to what Jordan wore but had their own look.
The Air Jordan Retro 8 is getting done up in a ‘Black/Gym Red’ colorway, that is inspired by the classic Air Jordan 4 silhouette. This pair gets dressed in a black, gym red and grey color scheme. The Air Jordan 8 features a combination of leather and suede throughout its upper with grey detailing. Red accents cover the shoe’s tongue and outsole with the year “1993” on the back tabs as a nod to MJ’s first Three-Peat with the Chicago Bulls.
