adidas is teaming up with Parley and creating another dope collection that is unlike anything else in footwear. Last year, adidas made the announcement that they would be making sneakers from recycled waste that is found in the oceans. Yes, you read that correctly; these sneakers would be made from bottles that are found in the sea. Mind blown, right? The collaboration between the two companies was started to make people rethink design and help stop ocean plastic pollution. Last years collection was a hit and sold out so quickly that most sneakerheads didn’t even know they had released. This years collection will consist of three different BOOST models, the adidas UltraBOOST, UltraBOOST Uncaged, and the Women’s UltraBOOST X. Each sneaker will be made using an average of 11 plastic bottles.
Each sneaker is done with different highlights of blue which is inspired by the ocean. The UltraBOOST comes with a navy upper that has light blue accents throughout to show the contrast of the different waters across the world. The Uncaged pair comes in that same colorway but has various nautical hues throughout the whole upper and the darker toe area has the three-stripe branding that blends in. The UltraBOOST X for the ladies comes in a lighter blue shade, but keeps the same oceanic vibes throughout the whole sneaker.
These are a must-have for any ocean lover who appreciates the seas or if you love BOOST then these will go nicely in your rotation. You can grab your pair of the adidas x Parley UltraBOOST collection on May 10th at Finishline.com.
