5.) Dwayne Wade – Miami Heat
Both being from Chicago, it’s easy to draw comparisons between Wade and Kanye West. Neither do anything in a quiet manner and both are elite at what they do. In 2003, both were ready to prove that they belonged in the the elite conversations of their respective careers and boy did they do that. Of course, both Wade and Kanye went through their own fair share of struggles to get to the top, which is why Kanye’s “Through the Wire” would have been the perfect walk out song for Wade. Both were doubted, faced obstacles and overcame it all to reach the top of the mountain.
