Stephen Curry’s second signature shoe with Under Armor gets an upgrade. Meet the Curry 2.5, which features a newer look with a better feel and fit. While the outsole and court grip remain relatively the same, the upper portion of the shoe is where the 2.5 makes a bolder statement. The new sock-liner keeps your foot and ankle locked down for maximum support while the full-length Micro G foam turns cushioned landings into explosive takeoffs. The Bay area is represented strong in the design of the shoe. A lining pattern that is inspired by the Bay Bridge is featured on the upper while the coordinates to the home of the Warriors, Oracle Arena, is featured on the heel.
Steph debuted this shoe late in the regular season and infamously wore this colorway when he led the Warriors over the Memphis Grizzlies for win number 73, an NBA record. With the Warriors on the brink of winning back to back NBA champions, there is no question that Under Armor will keep rolling out more colorways of the Curry 2.5 for the unanimous MVP. Curry has been the catalyst for UA’s shoe sales and will only continue to rise.
