5. Will “The Thrill” Bynum
The diminutive point guard from the West Side of Chicago is another player who took a circuitous route to the NBA and passed through the D-League. After going undrafted out of Georgia Tech in 2005, Bynum played 29 games with the Roanoke Dazzle in their least D-League season in 2005-06, before being called up by the Golden State Warriors where he made his NBA debut. While in Roanoke, Bynum averaged 24 points, 6.7 assists and 2.9 rebounds.
