8. Gerald Green
The high-flying Houston native was the 18th overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, straight out of high school. But his prep-to-pro adjustment wasn’t an easy one. During his rookie year with the Boston Celtics, Green played nine games in the D-League, eight with the now-defunct Fayetteville Patriots and the Florida Flame. In 2011-12, Green played 22 games with the Los Angeles D-Fenders, where he was named an All-Star and was eventually called up by the New Jersey Nets. Green has made an NBA roster every year since. Green has D-League career averages of 17 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.
