The official release of the Jordan Retro 12 “French Blue” may be the most anticipated release thus far in 2016. Sneakerheads have been itching to get their hands on a pair all year. The last time these released was back in 2004 and the sneaker world has changed so much since then. Social media, demand, and the game in general have all taken great leaps forward and it seems that it will continue to rise. Even though MJ never won a title or posterized anyone in these, they are popular because they’re one of the cleanest colorways on one of his most popular signature models.
It seems that not much has changed for this classic colorway from its original release back in ’04. Like we saw on the “Master” 12s, Jordan brought back the original shoebox from the first release of the 12 to add to the nostalgia of this great shoe. You could say that 2016 is shaping to be a renaissance year for the Retro 12.
This sneaker is comprised of white tumbled leather, while french blue overlays are noticeable on its forefoot, outsole unit and rear portion like we saw on the OG. The metallic silver accents are seen on the top eyelets and are complimented by the black Jumpman branding on the tongue, and subtle grey panels on the sides consist as notable contrasting elements. Throw these on with a clean pair of jeans or some shorts and look fly when you hit the streets. Don’t forget that these come in family sizing, so you can have everyone looking fly from your youngest to your oldest. Don’t pass on one of the hottest releases the year and regret it later.
