Let’s talk about the number 14. Valentine’s Day falls on the 14th of February, it’s what number Dalai Lama we have now and this Sunday, it will be the 14th time Atlanta and New England meet since the Patriots changed their names from the Boston Patriots to the New England Patriots. Hopefully for everyone watching, this won’t be one to forget. This will be the first time ever that these teams meet in the playoffs, but the Patriots own the series holding a  7-6 record. This will also be a first for Matt Ryan leading his team into a Super Bowl while Tom Brady is going into his 7th. Last year, we saw another example of an experienced postseason QB going up against an unseasoned QB and we all know how that turned out.

The big question that everyone is asking is who will have the best commercial this year? Pepsi and Coke always go back and forth and Doritos are always on their game. Take a look at the best commercials from last year’s Super Bowl.

This halftime show has the potential to be the best that we have seen in a very long time. From dancing sharks to pictures that certain artists don’t want on the internet anymore, the NFL has been hard pressed to find an actual performer. Lady Gaga sang the national anthem last year and even that had us getting teary eyed. Gaga is a performer, she knows how to put on a show and she has the voice to back it up. Take a look at some previous Halftime Shows to get in the mood.

299        Atlanta Falcons

Road To Houston:

First Round Bye

Second Round vs Seattle

Championship Round vs Green Bay

Aaron Rodgers tried his darnedest, but the Falcons were just too much at home. Neither this game nor the AFC Championship were very close so it is all about this weekend. The Falcon’s offense has been incredibly difficult to stop all year, they have faced some of the toughest defenses in the league and come out unscathed. The Falcons always have four or more options on offense and it makes life incredibly difficult for anyone to guard all of them and if those options don’t work, Matt Ryan can always desperately heave one up to Julio because that man has not been stopped all year.

y71myf8mlwlk8lbgagh3fd5e0        New England Patriots

Road To Houston:

First Round Bye

Second Round vs Houston

Championship Round vs Pittsburgh

Just another week for Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Tom Brady has the opportunity to become the only player in NFL history with five Super Bowl rings, he is tied with Joe Montana at four rings. Can the Patriots knock off the newcomers, Atlanta, in Houston? Tom Brady has been through this before, he knows what to expect from the press and from his own team. Matt Ryan has never been in front of this many people before and it can be nerve racking. If both teams come out and play their game the fans are in for a treat, we just have to watch that Goodell doesn’t pull anything shady to avoid handing over that trophy to Brady.

For more on these teams check out last week’s article:

The stakes are getting higher and higher with every win, and with only a couple games away from crowing the next Super Bowl Champion, it is all going to come down to who can finish in big situations. So far, the Packers have shown that they are never out and can win almost anywhere. The Patriots have everything clicking for them, and if Dion Lewis can stay in this form, then the Lombardi Trophy should be making its way back to New England. The Steelers got into a little bit of trouble early on, but they kicked their way to a Championship appearance, and Atlanta’s high powered offense is showing that nothing can stand in their way. Next week is sure to give us some of the best football we’ve seen this year, so let’s hope we are ready for the outcomes.

4.     dcy03myfhffbki5d7il3     Green Bay Packers

Last Result: W 34-31 @ Dallas

Just when Packer fans thought that Aaron Rodgers was being wasted in Green Bay, he goes and does something spectacular like win on the road against arguably the best team in the NFL. Rodgers and Jared Cook combined for one of the most memorable catches in post season history; one that will go down with the likes of Santonio Holmes in the back of the end zone or the David Tyree jump ball. Mason Crosby showed us that he has ice in his veins, hitting three field goals over 50 yards in the final minutes to give the Packers the win. Don’t take anything away from the Cowboys though, this was just two teams going at it for 48 minutes, but one team had to win. If Jordy Nelson can make a comeback this week, it would bring a much needed lift to this receiving core, but fractured ribs are tough to recover from in only a couple weeks and brings the risk of re-injuring himself and setting back his recovery even more.

3.    970    Pittsburgh Steelers

Last Result: W 18-16 @ Kansas City

The Steelers have faced their fair share of adversity this year and this game was no different. Neither Big Ben, nor Antonio Brown or even Le’Veon Bell were able to find the end zone, but luckily Chris Boswell was able to put up an NFL post-season high of six field goals in a game. The Pittsburgh defense held tight for the majority when on the field and were able to keep Tyreke Hill from becoming the playmaker that we saw the past few weeks. The Steelers have their toughest test of the year when they go to New England in January to play a red hot Patriots team.

2.     299    Atlanta Falcons

Last Result: W 36-20 v Seattle

The Falcons had this game from the first time they got the ball until the last kneel down. Yes, Seattle scored on their first possession, but the Atlanta offense is just too high powered to be stopped right now. Seattle couldn’t touch Matt Ryan all game and it allowed for him to have another typical 300 yard and three touchdown game that we have come to expect from him this year. The run game destroyed the Seahawks as Falcon running backs accounted for over 200 yards and two touchdowns. The Falcons will stay at home as Aaron Rodgers comes to town this weekend.

1.     y71myf8mlwlk8lbgagh3fd5e0    New England Patriots

Last Result: W 34-16 v Houston

Tom Brady didn’t look as perfect as we normally see him, throwing two interceptions this game, while only throwing two all regular season. Dion Lewis was the star of the afternoon, accounting for a rush touchdown, a receiving touchdown and the Patriots first ever post-season kick off touchdown. The Patriots will face off against the Steelers this week as two veteran quarterbacks try to lead their teams to one last Super Bowl.

The first round of the playoffs is over and for the most part, every team that was expected to move on, did. Rodgers started out slow, but turned into the old A-Aron that got his team to the playoffs in the first place and the Giants didn’t even stand a chance. Odell allegedly punched a hole in the wall which which is the only practical application of his brick-hands. Brock Osweiler changed his status from worst QB in the playoffs to game manager. Jadeveon Clowney is a monster, the size differential he had while standing next to the NFL analysts after the game made him look like a robot that was just fed whey growing up.  Seattle looked dangerous again and the run game looked like the good ole Beast Mode days. Pittsburgh made Miami look like a bunch of children, it seems like Ben Roethlisberger has been doing this since Ryan Tannehill was still trying to get all his credits in order. We have another great weekend of football coming up as we get one step closer to crowning this year’s Super Bowl Champs.

8.     570        Houston Texans

Last Result: W 27-14 vs Oakland

Brock Osweiler moves the Texans on to the AFC Divisional round to face Tom Brady and the New England Patriots this weekend. The last time the Patriots faced Osweiler was September 23rd of 2016 and Osweiler failed to put up a single point against the Patriots. Things have changed now and injuries have hobbled some players, while trades have sent key players to different franchises, but overall the main parts are still there and Osweiler looks like he is up against it this week.

7.     pfiobtreaq7j0pzvadktsc6jv        Seattle Seahawks

Last Result: W 26-6 vs Detroit

The Seahawks looked a little better, but facing an injured QB and a WR core with bricks for hands doesn’t give the feeling of relief that Hawks fans were looking for. They go up against Atlanta this weekend and that team is seemingly out for blood after the way the game ended the last time these two teams matched up. If you don’t remember, it involves Julio, Richard and a missed PI call. Seattle’s offensive line held up well against the Lions’ defense, but traveling anywhere is a problem for this team and especially for the offense.

6.     dcy03myfhffbki5d7il3        Green Bay Packers

Last Result: W 38-13 vs New York Giants

Aaron Rodgers is a man on a mission and at this point it looks like no one is going to be stopping him. It’s easy to say that when he plays at Lambeau, but over the past seven weeks this man has torn up every single defense he has faced. The games have looked eerie, similar to the way the Packers’ season began; a slow start that leaves fans a little worried before Rodgers starts slinging fire and his team leaves everyone in the dust. The Packers are looking for a date in the NFC Championship game next weekend, but a tough Dallas team awaits them at home.

5.     857        Kansas City Chiefs

Last Result: Bye Week

KC has a tough matchup this weekend, hosting the Steelers. The Chiefs made a late push this year to be able to end up with their conference title and that week off has historically been helpful to teams, but could this weekend be the monkey wrench in their plans? Alex Smith is going to have to keep his eyes open and his feet moving, because the Steelers have playoff experience and are going to make Smith’s life a nightmare if he gets off to a bad start.

4.     970        Pittsburgh Steelers

Last Result: W 30-12 vs Miami

Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown is all that any team needs to be successful. It seems like you give the ball to either of them and they will do the rest for you. If the Steelers go up at all on you, expect the run and expect to not be able to stop Le’Veon Bell at all, at any point in the game. The man is just that, a man, and when he runs, it seems like he’s just playing with some college players on his week off. The Steelers are leading the NFL in sacks since Week 11 and unfortunately, the Dolphins were on the wrong end of that stick this weekend. Jay Ajayi rushed for only 33 yards on 16 carries, after the year he put up if you can’t lean on him in pressure situations, then this Miami team is going to need to better establish their passing offense if they want to continue down this road of success.

3.     299        Atlanta Falcons

Last Result: Bye Week

The Falcons finally have their shot at revenge after the last time they met Seattle. Matt Ryan is in full MVP form at this point and Seattle can’t stop the pass to save their life. Julio and Richard are going to be where all eyes are this week, but the difference maker is going to be how well the Falcons’ defense can get to Russell Wilson. My money is going to be on under three seconds almost every snap.

2.     406        Dallas Cowboys

Last Result: Bye Week

The Cowboys were lead to a first round bye by a rookie for the first time in God knows how long. Dak and Zeke are going to be going up against a talented and red hot Packers team. They play at home which is going to help them out a ton, but stopping Aaron Rodgers with the pass rush they have had this year could be a struggle.

1.     y71myf8mlwlk8lbgagh3fd5e0        New England Patriots

Last Result: Bye Week

The Patriots will face off against the Texans at home this weekend and it’s the best matchup that the Patriots could’ve asked for. The last time these two teams faced, the Patriots whooped the Texans 27-0 in Week Three, if you remember that was before Brady was even allowed to step foot back into a football stadium.

The NFL regular season is finished and the playoff picture is set. There are teams that have been in the playoffs for years now and teams that are making their first appearance in over a decade. Things should get interesting as teams who met earlier in the year will face off again and new match-ups are formed. This is the final regular season power rankings.

32.     15578552015        Cleveland Browns

Record: 1-15
Last Week: 32

Cleveland almost pulled out their second win of the year and almost lost the first overall pick with it, luckily the first pick is safe with them, and Browns’ fans can almost be guaranteed a better season next year.

31.     594153172016       Los Angeles Rams

Record: 4-12
Last Week: 31

With a new coach next year, the sky is the limit for the 4-12 Rams. The defense is there, the offense could use some help, but the season can’t be nearly as bad without Jeff Fisher behind the wheel.

30.     17994552009        San Francisco 49ers

Record: 2-14
Last Week: 30

The 49ers’ 2-14 record is good enough for them to secure the second overall pick next year, as for the head coaching position, there are some rumors swirling around, but it is still way to early to tell.

29.     v7tehkwthrwefgounvi7znf5k       New York Jets

Record: 5-11
Last Week: 29

Nothing worse than seeing a professional sports team give up. That’s exactly what the Jets have done the past couple weeks. If you aren’t going to win, at least try, because there are other teams who would love to be in a better position.

28.     364        Chicago Bears

Record: 3-13
Last Week: 28

Cutler wasn’t the answer, now Barkley isn’t the answer. This team needs to fill that QB spot with a capable person who can get Alshon the ball 30 times a game.

27.     15988562013        Jacksonville Jaguars

Record: 3-13
Last Week: 27

For the second time this season, Blake Bortles looked like a real NFL QB, given it was in another game that didn’t count, but still.

26.     8e1jhgblydtow4m3okwzxh67k        San Diego Chargers

Record: 5-11
Last Week: 26

No more Mike McCoy after the unfortunate start and finish to the Chargers’ season. The Chargers were single digit points away from stealing a positive record this year, but we saw them invent new ways to blow their lead and wins.

25.     403        Cincinnati Bengals

Record: 6-9-1
Last Week: 25

If it wasn’t for the injury bug that struck the Bengals this year, they could have been a very good team with chances of making it back to the playoffs again. This will be a team to watch next year with AJ Green and Tyler Eifert healthy.

A lot of teams clinched a playoff berth while others are vying for their draft picks. Two QB’s are out for the rest of the season and it is devastating to both teams. It wasn’t very merry for them, I think the entire state of Ohio wept for joy as their prayers were answered and the Browns won a game. That’s the most exciting news since V-E Day! As the regular season winds down we are in for a treat with the playoffs. Here are Week 16 Power Rankings.

32.     15578552015        Cleveland Browns

Record: 1-14
Last Week: 32

Cleveland won!!!!!! San Fran also won, so Cleveland doesn’t lose their #1 draft pick. Win-Win. Happy Holidays to all!

31.     594153172016       Los Angeles Rams

Record: 4-11
Last Week: 28

LA has been outscored 141-48 in their last four games, before the game against San Fran. Goff is a rookie, but he still looked horrible against the worst defense in the NFL.

30.     17994552009        San Francisco 49ers

Record: 2-13
Last Week: 31

A big second win of the year against the Rams this week. Seattle visits next week and although Seattle looked like they belong closer to this side of the list rather than the other, let’s not get our hopes too high.

29.     v7tehkwthrwefgounvi7znf5k       New York Jets

Record: 4-11
Last Week: 27

The Jets need as much help as they can get, their players have been quitting before the game was over and the coach hasn’t done anything to change that.

28.     364        Chicago Bears

Record: 3-12
Last Week: 29

Matt Barkley wasn’t his regular self this week. Five interceptions, all of which were BAD, he didn’t read the coverage right and the throws weren’t half as perfect as they needed to be.

27.     15988562013        Jacksonville Jaguars

Record: 3-12
Last Week: 30

Either Blake Bortles didn’t like Doug Monroe or he had some magic performance enhancer because he looked like a completely different QB than the one we have been watching for the first 14 weeks of the season.

26.     8e1jhgblydtow4m3okwzxh67k        San Diego Chargers

Record: 5-10
Last Week: 26

If there was ever a reason to move the team to Vegas, losing to Cleveland was the cherry on the cake. I’ll take $20 on black.

25.     403        Cincinnati Bengals

Record: 5-9-1
Last Week: 24

The Bengals offense hasn’t been this stagnant in a very, very long time. A huge turnaround from the team that looked unstoppable last year.

Week 15 has come and gone and for many of us, so has the fantasy season. Brady finally overcame the Mile High City, Josh Norman lost to his old team and the Browns have still not won a game. Rumor is that Terrell Pryor won’t be playing the last two games in hopes that he can re-attend the combine and get picked up by literally anybody else. The playoff picture is becoming more and more clear every week and we can get a sense of who is peaking at the right time and who could struggle in January. Let’s see where the rest of the season takes us, but for now these are the Week 15 Power Rankings.

32.     15578552015        Cleveland Browns

Record: 0-14
Last Week: 32

RG3 got the nod again this week as the winless Browns traveled to Buffalo. RG3’s mobility looked promising, but that’s about the only thing going for him. Browns coach, Hue Jackson, said that all possibilities are open for who will start against the Chargers this Sunday, so if you can throw a football more than 10 yards with less than 50% accuracy, you might get the call to be the next Browns starting QB.

31.     17994552009        San Francisco 49ers

Record: 1-13
Last Week: 31

Bad game for the 49ers this week up against Atlanta; they were beat by land, air and sea this game. Chip Kelly is having a rough go at it this year and that Oregon coaching job he didn’t take is looking like a poor decision as the weeks go on.

30.     15988562013        Jacksonville Jaguars

Record: 2-12
Last Week: 30

Tough loss for Jacksonville this week, especially because it was looking so promising for this team. Bortles might be the next AFC South QB to be questioned as he had two opportunities at the end of the game to lead the Jags downfield for a field goal, but ultimately came up short of both drives, throwing a pick on the second.

29.     364        Chicago Bears

Record: 3-11
Last Week: 29

There are very few things that are better than December football in Chicago, but this last week in the Windy City has been miserable. The Mars rover recorded temperatures topping out at 17 degrees Fahrenheit while temperatures in Chicago topped out 15, that’s right, it’s colder in Chicago than it is on Mars.

28.     594153172016       Los Angeles Rams

Record: 4-10
Last Week: 28

Jeff Fisher was sitting at home pointing out all the bad things that happened this game and kept repeating “Not so easy is it?” to the television this Sunday as the Rams got handled by the Seahawks. There were a few questionable calls including a 4th down spot in the first quarter and a potential interception that stemmed from Pete Carroll calling a pass on the one yard line. I don’t think it’s going to happen this year for the Rams, but they will have an opportunity to turn it around this summer with a few acquisitions and a brand new coach.

27.    v7tehkwthrwefgounvi7znf5k       New York Jets

Record: 4-10
Last Week: 27

The Jets scored a touchdown on their opening drive at home against the Dolphins, unfortunately that was more than half of the points they would secure all game. Bryce Petty was picking apart the Miami defense in the first half like he was a seasoned vet, but then the wheels fell off and it was back to the usual shenanigans for the Jets. Maybe next year New York.

26.     8e1jhgblydtow4m3okwzxh67k        San Diego Chargers

Record: 5-9
Last Week: 26

Another tough week for the Chargers where it seemed like nothing could go right. In a time of great uncertainty on whether or not the team will stay in San Diego, weeks like this don’t help their case at all.

25.     kwth8f1cfa2sch5xhjjfaof90        Arizona Cardinals

Record: 5-8-1
Last Week: 22

In one of the highest scoring contests this year, the Cardinals fell just short. If you would be told that you are going to put up 41 points and still lose you would probably cry a little bit. Arizona didn’t have the year they were expecting, but maybe next year.

What a week in the NFL. The playoffs are right around the corner and multiple teams are still vying for those four coveted wild card spots. The Cowboys found out the kryptonite was in their division the whole time, Le’Veon Bell is the most prolific Bell since Liberty and Aaron Rodgers is looking more and more like the State Farm Aaron Rodgers and less like the Shape Up’s Joe Montana. Speaking of Shape Up’s Joe Montana, the Browns still haven’t won a game even with RGIII returning behind the center, at this point it is not looking good for them to make the playoffs, but at least they’ll draft Lamar Jackson with the first overall pick and everything will be ok next year… This is the Week 14 NFL Power Rankings.

32.     15578552015        Cleveland Browns

Record: 0-13
Last Week: 32

The Browns are running out of options and if the flea flicker from their own end zone is any indication of where the team is at mentally, we are in for a treat the rest of the season.

31.     17994552009        San Francisco 49ers

Record: 1-12
Last Week: 31

Chip Kelly remained adamant that he is not going to take the Oregon coaching position, but after what has been going on in the NFC West, he might want to get out ASAP.

30.     15988562013        Jacksonville Jaguars

Record: 2-11
Last Week: 30

Jacksonville was thiiiiis close to pulling out the win against the the Vikings, the game was tied 9-9 at one point in the first half, that’s about the only positive that the Jags can pull away from this game.

29.     364        Chicago Bears

Record: 3-10
Last Week: 29

Alshon Jeffery will be suiting up on Monday for his first game in four weeks. Matt Barkley could use the help considering his WR core has more drops than a Chainsmokers album.

28.     594153172016       Los Angeles Rams

Record: 4-9
Last Week: 26

Ding Dong, Jeff Fisher is gone. I guess the front office was finally done with the (Bleepin) 7-9 and (Bleepin) 8-8 seasons. On deck for Fisher, probably the Jets or Browns.

27.    v7tehkwthrwefgounvi7znf5k       New York Jets

Record: 4-9
Last Week: 28

Jets fans were rewarded for their loyalty with an OT win against the 49ers this week, unfortunately it was only their fourth win this year. With this roster, the Jets would’ve been a Lombardi contender… about 5 years ago. Up next on the docket: Finding a way to bring in Drew Brees and get Calvin Johnson to come out of retirement.

26.     8e1jhgblydtow4m3okwzxh67k        San Diego Chargers

Record: 5-8
Last Week: 24

There has to be some Charger bingo filled with all the horrible things that have happened to them this year and if you have Joey Bosa and Melvin Gordon getting hurt on your board you might as well call BINGO, because there is nothing else that could possible go wrong this season. If I’m a Charger fan, I had better expect an undefeated season blowing every team out by 30 to make things right for this season.

25.     907        New Orleans Saints

Record: 5-8
Last Week: 25

The Saints aren’t playing like we have come to know them in the past. Drew Brees has no touchdowns and six interceptions in his last two games. New Orleans doesn’t have any chance at getting into the playoffs, so the best they can do is work hard and execute to the best of their abilities.

A lot of drama unfolded this week in the NFL as the Cowboys clinched the first playoff berth of the season, Colin Kaepernick was sacked more times this week than the amount of passing yards he had, Blake Bortles has more career pick-sixes than he does wins and for the first time all season, the Browns didn’t lose! It is going to be a close race for a lot of teams as they try and finish up this season on a win streak. A few lost some big players, including the Patriots losing Gronk and the Seahawks losing Earl Thomas. The end to this season is going to be a crapshoot with four teams vying for the last two spots in the NFC and six teams trying to get those last two spots in the AFC. Keep an eye out for those long shot teams, nothing more dangerous than Aaron Rodgers against the ropes

32.     15578552015        Cleveland Browns

Record: 0-12
Last Week: 32

Bye week for the Browns, so far this is the most positive week they have had this season.

31.     17994552009        San Francisco 49ers

Record: 1-11
Last Week: 31

The 49ers have now extended a franchise record, worst start at 1-11. Kaep was benched after an abysmal three and a half quarters, going 1/5 for just four yards. Which if you’re thinking to yourself, “How is that even possible?” I still can’t answer that for you. Blame the weather, blame the team, blame the opponents, blame whatever you want.

30.     15988562013        Jacksonville Jaguars

Record: 2-10
Last Week: 29

Blake Bortles was supposed to be the future of Jacksonville, but since his drafting in 2014, his career more so resembles that of Uncle Rico rather than an NFL quarterback. Since 2014 he has a TD-Int ratio of 66-50 and has more career pick-sixes (11) than he does wins (10). The team around him isn’t the worst, but this leads me to ask the question, what is it with Blake Bortles?

29.     364        Chicago Bears

Record: 3-9
Last Week: 30

Matt Barkley lead the Bears to their first win since the Cubs were crowned Champions of Baseball. John Fox must have put his receivers through catching drills after last week, because after a couple drops at the beginning of the game, their receivers were on point. The slush both teams were playing in was less than ideal, but the Bears’ defense stepped their game up and caused Colin Kaepernick to put forth the worst game of his career.

27.     f1wggq2k8ql88fe33jzhw641u        Carolina Panthers

Record: 4-8
Last Week: 27

Carolina looked disheveled all game in Seattle, their offense started the game with an interception after Cam was benched for disobeying the team dress code. Without Luke Kuechly the defense isn’t nearly as strong against the run and they don’t have the fearless leader. The Panthers are having a rough go at it this year and a playoff run does not seem to be in the cards.

26.     594153172016       Los Angeles Rams

Record: 4-8
Last Week: 26

Just when Ram fans thought they were done with Jeff Fisher he gets another year with the team. Even Eric Dickerson wants nothing to do with this team right now. The Rams have lost 7 of their last 8 games and their last 2 games, they have been outscored by 44 points combined.

25.     907        New Orleans Saints

Record: 5-7
Last Week: 23

The Saints’ defense showed up this week, but it wasn’t enough to stop the hottest QB in football right now. The Saints were able to come away with 3 interceptions, but the offense couldn’t get anything going all day. For the first time in 61 games, Drew Brees didn’t throw a touchdown pass at home and posted a sub 99 passer rating for the first time in 2 months.
