Nike is back at it again with their latest addition to the “What The” series. Earlier this summer we got the “What The” KD 7 and people were hype to add them to their collection. Even though the “What The” series started on the Nike SB, it has dominated Nike’s signature basketball sneakers over the last couple of years. With sneaker popularity growing at such a rapid pace, the “What The” collection has gone from crazy patterns and colors, to designs and meaningful colors paying homage to the athletes and their lives. One thing is always guaranteed when it comes to this series; no two shoes will be alike.
The design inspiration behind this LeBron XII comes from his favorite players, teams and respect to his home state of Ohio. Nike went all out with the details they put into this sneaker by giving us safari print and speckled midsoles that compliment the colorful print of the inner interior. The Dunkman and Swingman logos are featured on the tongues of the sneakers, each have been a huge part of LeBrons signature line. The right shoe features a giant “23” on the side, which could be a nod to MJ and his NBA inspiration. Another cool feature is the heel tabs are inspired by the Air Trainer SC High, which was worn by one of LBJ’s favorite athletes; Bo Jackson. Whether you’re a LeBron fanatic or just a lover of creative, one-of-a-kind sneakers, the Nike “What The” LeBron 12 is a must have.
