Not Just for the Gym: adidas Ultra Boost & Nike Air Max Thea

In this edition of Not Just for the Gym, I’ve got some ideas for styling the adidas Ultra Boost and Nike Air Max Thea running shoes for when you’re on the run, but not necessarily running.

WORKOUT

The Ultra Boost is adidas’s latest addition to their running collection, offering even more Boost than any running shoe to date. Having been a fan of its predecessor, the Pure Boost, I had to give these a try – plus they match perfectly with my custom adidas hoodie!

DAYTIME LOOK

Here is yet another all-white sneaker to add to my collection: the Air Max Thea. So sleek, and perfect for spring. I may have jumped the gun a bit with the crop top, but worn with high-waisted jeans, a wool coat and a beanie, and it’s acceptable for right now because, you just do it.

ON THE RUN, BUT NOT RUNNING

I thought this shoe would be more challenging to integrate with my casual style but I was so, so wrong. To avoid looking like I just worked out (not that there’s anything wrong with that), I wore layers on layers in different textures. The Ultra Boosts were perfect for a day of running (errands) around the city.

MIX AND MATCH

This camouflage button-up was a boys section thrift store find, and if I’m not careful what I wear it with, I run the risk of looking like a boy. White skinny jeans and a felt hat balance out the look, along with Air Max Theas, which I already foresee as a staple in my spring/summer rotation.
