The SF Giants Magical Post Season Run

After winning 94 games during the regular season, the San Francisco Giants weren’t necessarily considered underdogs going into the playoffs. But given the fact that winning the Commissioner’s Trophy is pretty much a “first-team-to-11-wins” race, the glory is up for grabs. The squad that can string together a win streak is usually the one that comes out on top after the grueling 162-game season.

The San Francisco Giants did just that. Struggling through the first two rounds, the Giants faced elimination against the Reds of Cincinnati and the St. Louis Cardinals, with both series’ being decided in a winner-take-all game. The Giants pulled through and quickly dispatched the Detroit Tigers in the World Series, winning 4 straight games against a team who had just done the same to a star-studded New York Yankees team.

Now with the 2010 and 2012 championship titles, there’s talk that the boys out in San Francisco are forming a dynasty. If you happen to make it out to AT&T Park, or you’re just into riding with the winning team, check out the San Francisco Giants 2012 World Series Champion Tee, even if you weren’t a fan from day one.
