Sandwiched between the releases of two original colorways of the Air Jordan 13, the Air Jordan 13 “Squadron Blue” is set to release February 9th. Not to be overshadowed by the Black/Varsity Reds or the “He Got Games”, this new colorway just might go down in history as one of the hottest non-original retro Jordans ever.
Featuring an upper entirely dressed in Squadron Blue, this colorway of the Air Jordan 13 mixes a combination of leather, suede, and the ballistic nylon side panels that we all know and love about the 13. The sole, inner lining, and Jumpman located on the tongue were given a vibrant Electric Yellow color that pops out perfectly against the dark upper. The minimal and tonal colors on this sneaker make them perfect for pairing with denims or chinos, and they will look just as great rocked casually as they would be on the court.
With last year’s release of the Air Jordan Retro 4 “Cavs”, some speculate that the “Squadron Blue” 13s pay homage to Michael and the Bulls defeating the Pacers in a hard fought series that came down to game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals. Although no official word from Jordan Brand if this is true or not, the shoes do go remarkably well with the Pacers uniforms, and we have even seen Paul George and Gerald Green wear them on court this season.
Again, the “Squadron Blue” Air Jordan 13 releases on February 9th, so set your alarms and mark your calendars because these won’t sit on shelves for long.
