If you are following Finish Line on social, you have probably noticed a few familiar faces on the regular. Finish Line has teamed up with numerous taste makers so you can see how people, like you, really feel about our sneakers and apparel—no gimmicks. Each day for the next 12 days, we will be featuring a Wish List from one of these guys or girls so you can be nice and buy them something … Or just steal their ideas and put it on your own Wish List.

Nobody can pin down Shelby Elmore. Moving at the speed of light, Shelby is on the fitness up and up, and her hometown in Boulder is the best place to be for it. When she isn’t creating healthy recipes (that are surprisingly delicious even though they are somehow gluten/soy/corn free) or crafting unique exercise plans for The Finish Line Blog, she enjoys window shopping in the malls, devouring chocolate and drinking wine, and painting unique art pieces. And she does it all with more energy than most would think humanly possible. Try to keep up with her @FitWithMeShelby.

1. Nike Roshe Run Hi Sneakerboot

Shelby says: “Finally, the only shoe I need to take on my snowboarding trips! The perfect blend of tech and fashion, they keep my toes toasty before and after the slopes and my outfits stylin’ for any nightlife later!”

2. Nike Printed Reflective Leggings

Shelby says: “I love Dri-FIT leggings, gold, anything that will match my obsession with army green and burgundy, and everything reflective. Yep, this legging was made for me!”

3. The North Face Pseudio Jacket

Shelby says: “Usually I am hesitant to wear anything white, although I love how it looks in the beginning. This North Face jacket could be the answer to my problem! The heather fabric has a distressed look that seems easy to take care of. Not to mention, the tunic length and soft fleece lining are pretty much irresistible in my book!”

4. Nike Air Max Thea Print Running Shoes

Shelby says: “From the first moment I laid my eyes on the Air Max Thea I was sold. Then they sold me again when I tried a pair on. I have been on the hunt for a new pair of athletic shoes that are pretty basic, however one pair of solid black shoes in my closet is enough for me. This Dark Grey, Black, Volt color is exactly what I wanted without knowing what I wanted! Ever happen to you? The main color pallet for the print is very tonal, making it basic but not boring, and the Volt accent is the perfect touch.”

5. Nike Pro Hyperwarm Embossed Half-Zip Shirt

Shelby says: “For where I live, the perfect winter running shirt is a total necessity. The style factor that comes with this colorway is on point, and it would match the Air Max Theas on my Wish List perfectly! I really like the idea of one warm, fitted shirt to pull me through my runs rather than a couple layers. Plus, this would also make a great base layer for snowboarding — my favorite form of alternative exercise! ”

Not Just for the Gym: Locker #4 Mon, 16 Dec 2013 17:11:32 +0000 Don’t confine your sportswear pieces. With some creative styling, you can integrate them into your everyday looks. Every other week, I’ve got you covered with new outfit ideas for the gym and Not Just for the Gym.

Bottom: Under Armour Charged Cotton Ultimate 28 Inch Leggings

Shoe: Nike Free 4.0 V3 Running Shoes

Caught the sunrise on an early morning at the track. My Under Armour leggings wick away the sweat, so my skin stayed dry while the charged cotton locked in the warmth and the Nike Free 4.0 delivered an ultra comfortable run.

Christmas Shopping

Bottom: The North Face Fave-Our-Ite Women’s Pants

Shoe: Timberland 6 Inch Classic Boot

It’s that time of year again! I refuse to get out of bed, but I braved the cold weather and the crazy crowds because I had plenty of shopping to do. My weapons of choice were grey North Face sweatpants and my trusty Timbs with a printed silk blouse to polish off the outfit.

Ugly Sweater Party

Shoe: Nike Free 4.0 V3 Running Shoes

The holidays wouldn’t be complete without an invite to an ugly sweater party. The bulky sweater paired with leather leggings and crispy clean white Nike Frees makes the outfit feel more sleek and less, well, ugly.

Holiday Dinner

Top: adidas Chain Print Trefoil Crew Sweatshirt

Bottom: adidas Chain Print Leggings

For dinner with friends, I refused to wear anything that wasn’t warm or comfortable, so I wore these Chain Print sweats and mixed in some girly accents like black heeled booties, red lipstick and loose curls pulled into a relaxed side bun. These pieces are cool on their own as well – keep an eye out for how I wear them next time!

Reinvent Holiday Fashion Wed, 19 Dec 2012 21:29:28 +0000 The holiday season is back, and it’s that time of the year where your outfit options are restricted to ugly sweaters and things of that nature. Well, if you’ve been meaning to bring that sweater out of its semi-retirement, we’d advise you to just leave it where it hangs in the dark corner of your closet. You don’t have to revert to your old fashion-backward ways, and we’re here to help you with that.

First things, first. Get rid of the sweater and get something that shows you actually put forth some thought into your outfit selection. A good choice in this case would be the North Face Momentum JacketNorth Face has always been good about being half-sporty, half-casual, and this fleece zip-up falls right in line. It’s equipped with a snug fit, so it looks more like a recent purchase as opposed to a hand-me-down. With a fold-down, flip-up collar, it has two different looks at its disposal at the pop of said-collar.

Your shoes are the last thing you put on, but frankly, they’re what speak up first, and for the holiday season, you can’t go wrong with a solid boot. Featuring a leather upper and leather laces, the Polo Ralph Lauren Burson Boot is all about style and lots of it. If you want to give off the impression that your whole outfit is a calculated process, while making it look easy, kick your beaters to the curb and go with a winter-ready boot.

The Nike Woodside Chukka II Boot will surely be a hit this season, available in many unique color options including leopard print. Yes, you heard right, leopard print! This boot is well-equipped to handle the winter weather conditions as well, featuring ACG technology, a mudguard that wraps around the entire shoe, and a completely waterproof upper.

The Nuptse Fur IV Women’s Boot by The North Face is one of the most comfortable ladies’ boots on the market, featuring an insulating lining and an Ortholite Northotic footbed. With different color options, this boot by The North Face will have women styling this holiday season.

Ditch that gym membership, join a running group and check out what you’ll need to tough it out when winter’s in full swing.

Starting from the bottom, but the most important for a runner, is the Nike Air Pegasus+ Shield. In addition to durability, comfort and support, the Air Pegasus+ is transfused with Nike Shield technology for increased protection against weather conditions.

Moving up, for pants, there’s the full-length adidas Reptile All Over Legging. There’s no reason why low temperatures should render you unfashionable, and the All Over Legging’s slim-fit will keep you warm without unnecessary restrictions.

Composed of Dri-FIT fabric, you’ll stay dry and warm on the inside, and cool on the outside.

A perfect complement to the Pro Core II Fitted, the Nike Element Thermal Hoodie is also composed of anti-sweat fabric. It’s form-fitting cut coupled with a zipper for adjustable ventilation make this the optimum choice from brisk to freezing temperatures.

Last accessory, but just as vital, to add to your cold weather gear arsenal is The North Face Power Stretch Women’s Gloves. A woman-specific fit and four-way stretchability will ensure that these gloves fit like, gloves. All that’s left is proper ventilation, and its breathable fabric has that under control.

The Ranger boot is a tall, stylish model featuring an adjustable metal buckle for a custom fit. The all-leather boot employs a padded collar and textile insole for comfort.

Nike also has a pair of boots you can knock around in. The GoaDome employs a waterproof full-grain leather make-up and Nike’s Max Air technology. If the GoaDome doesn’t fit your style then Nike’s Kingman boots provide a more contemporary look. These boots are both versatile and comfortable Nike offerings.

If you need a pair of boots for trail purposes, then North Face has a great selection. The best of them all has to be the Iceflare GTX, a lightweight, waterproof pair of boots. Hit the trails with ease in these.
