Reebok DMX Run 10

Reebok DMX Run 10 Black/White

Releasing in three colorways, the Reebok DMX Run 10 will feature two classic original color schemes, as well as one brand new color scheme that we have yet to see on the shoe before. One original colorway features a predominately Black upper, complete with a White midsole, and White and Silver Reebok branding. To top things off, this model sits on a clear icy outsole.

Reebok DMX Run 10 Thunder Blue/Brass

The other original colorway and the most recognizable of the DMX Run 10 is the Thunder Blue/Brass colorway. This model consists of a primarily Thunder Blue upper, a White midsole, and Brass used on the clear outsole and on the Reebok branding.

Reebok DMX Run 10 White/Neon Cherry

The final brand new colorway has a much more Spring inspired look to it, consisting of a White and Navy upper, with Neon Cherry accents on the shoes’ webbing and on the Reebok branding. For an ultra clean look, this colorway sits on top of an Ice Blue outsole.

The Reebok DMX Run 10 is not quite like any other shoe, and its unique design and performance technology not only made for a great runner, but also for one of the best looking runners from the iconic ’90′s. Reebok has been one of the brands that have picked up the digi-camo trend, and we have seen the print on shoes such as the Reebok Zig Escape. This is John Wall’s signature shoe from Reebok, and the digi-camo design perfectly reflects the aggressive yet stealthy style of play that Mr. Wall possess. If trail running shoes are more up your alley, Reebok also dropped a digi-camo colorway of the Reebok Zig Wild TR 2 Trail Running Shoes.

Reebok’s not the only brand that has picked up on the trend, and Nike has also dropped some great apparel with the digi-camo design scheme. If you happened to watch the NBA All Star Game that took place in Houston, you probably didn’t miss the bright green colored adidas shoes on the basketball court, which too featured a digi-camo print. For about 90% of the terrain on the planet, it’s safe to say that there’s a shoe out there that’s specially designed and down for the cause. The other 10% is the uncharted road less traveled; where the ATV 19+ is looking to step in and excel.

It’s not a basketball shoe, running shoe, or a cross-training shoe. It’s an everything shoe, and for an MMA fighter like Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, his preparation requires him to do a little bit of everything, in a sneaker that’s a little “no-holds-barred”.

Mostly covered in nubuck, with mesh vents strategically placed in key spots, the upper is slightly unusual but nothing too crazy. Obviously the drawing point isn’t the upper; it’s the outsole that literally sticks out.

19 pods jut out from the sole to make up the bottom of the shoe, going in various directions, to provide total balance control. Given the formation of the sole pods, the open space in between makes running on rocks, water and pretty much any surface a non-factor.

Aesthetically, the Reebok ATV 19+ is out there, but from a functional standpoint, it’s right where it needs to be, and in prime position for a workout or training regimen that goes a little off-course. It’s sure to turn heads, but what do you care? You’re off where no one and their regular shoes dare to venture anyway.

A best of 2012 list would not be complete without the Nike LeBron X. We fist saw images of this shoe during the Olympic games in London, and they started receiving a lot of good buzz right off the bat. As we expected from a LeBron signature, the shoe proved to be a high performer, equipped with a full-length Zoom Air unit and Nike+ enabled so you can track your stats.

The adidas D. Rose 3.0 also made our list of top basketball shoes, and they are undoubtedly the best D. Rose signature to date. Like the adidas D. Rose 3.0, Chris Paul’s new signature, the Jordan CP3 VI is quite possibly his best shoe yet as well. This shoe features an ultra lightweight Hyperfuse upper, and the low cut design coupled with Zoom Air cushioning makes them the ideal shoe for quick and agile basketball players.

When pictures of this shoe first surfaced, many people did not like the new high top design for this athlete’s signature shoe. However, upon release, the Nike KD V proved to be one of the best basketball shoes of 2012. It is the first shoe in KD’s line that features a visible Max Air unit, and also has a seamless Hyperfuse upper for maximum comfort.

You couldn’t have a best of 2012 basketball shoe list without at least one retro sneaker, and the Reebok Answer IV topped off our list. It was the most loved from the Answer line, and as soon as a release was rumored people were setting aside the money in their bank accounts. Both the Black/White pair and the White/Red/Grey pair will remain classic basketball sneakers for years to come, and everybody who picked up a pair this year will surely be thankful.

You know the guy, the one that never actually did come to the realization that he didn’t make it to the big leagues.
